Does anyone no how I can go about getting a fed gov. loan to start a small bussines. I am a spanish women and single mother of 1 boy. I just need a little start up help. And currently unemployed after working for a company for 3 years. I dont want to fall for A SCAM and seems to be allot out there.

I live in western Washington State near Tacoma. After 2 years of being unemployed, I just got a new job with a good company on a commission-only basis. I have hardly any money and I'm very concerned that I could become homeless if I don't earn enough to support myself before my money runs out. The only dependents I have is a stray cat I rescued last year.

 I'm trying to find a small loan, $2,500 - $3,500 as an emergency fund if I need it. I applied to CitiFinancial yesterday but haven't heard back yet. My credit isn't very good as you can imagine. I'm also going to make an appointment with a local pastor who knows a little about helping people in a crisis. Would really like to hear from others who've been in this kind of situation and how you got out of it.

 By the way, I'm 48 years old, and spent my career in land use planning and project management. But when the real estate field tanked, so did my career! I've gone into a whole new line of work. My new boss is a former police officer and says he's very glad he hired me. I'm still in the training phase, though, so I haven't had a chance to earn any money yet.

I have been unemployed for a year now. My unemployment for the past 3 weeks hasn't been the usual amount that covered my bills. I was using up the remainder that was left in teir 2 and 3 so it was a much smaller amount. Then I began a new benefit year this week, which I am glad I qualified for, but that means that I will get NO benefits this week as they consider this a hold week. Worst part is my light bill has to be paid on Monday or they will be cut off! I have asked family but no one can loan me the $145 I need to pay this. I pray something will come through for my family in time.

I am writing to see if anyone can help me with bringing my mortgage current. In June I lost my job. Therefore, I fell behind on my mortgage. I am missing 5 payments (June-Oct 2008). My bank is working with me because I have now been able to make 6 (Nov-April 2009) consecutive on time payments.

My dilema is I don't want them to modify my loan. Therefore, I am trying to get the $4,175.00 before they send me the paperwork. I don't want my mortgage to increase. I am willinging to sign a promissory note to pay back the temporary loan in 9-12 months, which would include any interest. I may be able to pay you back sooner, but I don't want to promise more than I can do right now.

Any help, would be greatly appreciated.

I am a mother of 4 and happily married. But it seems our family has finally caught up with the financial crisis. We have been doing well with the economy the way it is, but in the last 2-3 months have now hit some rocky roads. This is due to having emergencies come up. It all started about 6 months before when we were invovled in an auto accident. The lady that pulled in front of us ended up having no insurance so we ended up having to pay through our insurance. Of course as some of you know that once you pay your deductible you will never see it again no matter how much the insurance promises that you will get it back. That was an added expense that just put everything spiraling. I had to get coverage for health insurance thru my work ( which trust me i'm grateful that i can get) but the cost is running me $400 a month. My oldest son is a type 1 diabetic so this is an added expense i cannot do without. The deductibles for his diabetic supplies and medication are still high.Then about a month ago another person turned in front of my husband when he was taking my sons to wrestling. The driver again had no insurance and this time not even a license( they were immigrants from mexico). There have been so many mishaps between that i would need a novel to go on. I feel like God hates me right now. I just keep hoping and praying that some angel will come to my rescue. I am now getting behind on bills and i don't want that to happen. I have tried for several loans but with the banks now it's been impossible. I am not seeking a lot. just enough. I want to even repay and as quickly as i can. I need a loan for $2000-$3000. anything would help. So to my angel somewhere out there, i am still waiting. I do believe in God and that he will help me. Patience is His favorite test i think. But time is not on my side. I will be losing my car soon if i don't make a payment quickly. That will result in my job loss( my job is 30 min from home and no public transportation to there). Also the stress of money is beginning to affect my married life. My husband and i will never divorce  due to money reasons but i can't take the arguements. I don't want my kids seeing the stress of where we are today. My oldest son always offers me his money that he earns from delivering newspapers. But that is an option i will never take. I am sorry but i will leave it at that. I am sitting at the library and my eyes are filled with tears. I do not want to break down here. Thank you

I am a mother of 4 and my husband recently lost his "good paying" job. He is currently working but is not making enough. Our home was foreclosed on and our cars re-possesed. We are making $600 a month for a family of 6. We get food stamps but no cash assistance or housing assistance. We fell into the payday loan trap and now owe $3600 to them. All of our money is going to them and we can not afford to keep our phone or electric on next month. I am asking someone, or a few someones to please help us out. I have posted on here before askingfor help so I could attend school full time to purse my Rn Degree.  Well I am currently takin classes online and it's going ok.  However, I am ssooo far behind on my bills... My son was put into the hospital for a week in August... Leavin me out of work and out the pay b/c I dont rcv any PTO or sick pay till I've been on the job 6mos' i was 2wks shy of completing 6mos when my son was put into the hospital I had to pay people to take care of my daughter evenings b/c I was at the hospital with my son.  I missed 1 wk of work and my children's father quit his job leaving me without child support..  We cannot make it on my income alone absolutely not... but without childsupport and my pay I am sssooo behind.  I cant pay my water bill, car insurance, cell phone or gas bill.  I also have a storage shed fee but that can wait.  I need anything you can spare.. I hate beggin or asking for help but no one I know can help me.  The last time I asked a favor of a person we thought was a GOOD CHRISTIAN MAN, family oriented do gooder.  He told me he would love to marry me and if I made a pass at him he would just melt and would just "MAKE IT" with me right there where we stood.  YUCK this man is 45+ yrs older than me and he has been around our family since I was about 10 yo I am now 29.  As you can see I really truly need help and will take whatever you can give me.  If you would prefer we can work out payments and I can pay you back in afew months once Iget over this "MOUNTAIN"  Please let me know..  ldonahoo3@aol.com

About two years ago I moved from Arizona to Virgina,  probably wasn't the brightest idea, but here I am.

I won't start with a sob story, I know every one falls on hard times. I know if I was able I would help some one in need too.  So I am asking, If there might be any one that might be able to help.  I'm not asking you or any one to give me free money, I am asking for a loan, so I can  keep my car, and my place to live, Pay a Lawyer for a law suite ( I can give you more info. on that if you agree to help )  Until my job starts in July.

I am a single mother trying to put one son through high school and a daughter through college.
A debt that I thought had been paid off years ago has resurfaced. I do not think it is past the SOL though, and I cannot find the proof that it was paid. If I don't find $2,000 quickly to pay it again, I could end up in court over it, and while I am convinced it was paid, I am terrified I can't prove that.  

I am able to make payments of $60 a month, and I am willing to use a tax refund, which usually runs about $1,500, to pay this, but I won't get another refund until 2008, and I don't think this company will accept the $60 I can pay until then.  My ex spouse suffered a traumatic head injury when a drunk driver ran a stop sign, and in the months that followed he destroyed us financially, and we ended up in bankruptcy, and eventually in divorce. 

I can't get a loan from a company, but I know if I can borrow $2,000, and pay it back on a reasonable payment plan I can stop all this nonsense. I would set up payment drafts to anyone who can help me.

I've worked for the same company for 17 years.

I have worked hard all my life. I have just made bad choices that have led to my living in an old trailer in a trailer park. I had to finance my car I have because I needed a way to work. It's the only car I could get financing for but I can't afford the payments now that I have rent to pay and other living expenses. If I could get the payments cought up I could keep my car, but it would be about $1000 to get up to date. I hate to loose it now as I have already paid on it for over  a year, and it is a good dependable car that would last me for years to come. I don't have the money to just buy an old car to drive to work, not one that would be reliable anyway. But if I loose this car I have now, I won't be able to get to work.
